Relationship & Couples Therapy
For Stronger, Healthier Relationships
What is Relationship & Couples Therapy?
Relationship therapy provides a supportive space to explore and improve how you relate to one another, whether in a romantic partnership, co-parenting relationship, chosen family, or non-traditional relationship structure. When communication breaks down or dynamics become challenging, an independent therapist can help everyone involved understand what’s happening and explore ways to address the issues affecting the relationship.

Many relationships begin with attraction, shared values, and a strong connection. Over time, as individuals grow and change, differences can emerge, and finding balance isn’t always easy. Some challenges are a natural part of being in a relationship and can be managed without therapy. Others may feel more complex, persistent, or emotionally charged. In these situations, Relationship & Couples Therapy can offer clarity, perspective, and practical tools to help you move toward the relationship you would like.

Relationship therapy can support communication, trust, conflict resolution, emotional connection, or simply creating space to grow and strengthen your bond. You don’t have to wait for a crisis, therapy can also be a proactive step toward a more connected and fulfilling relationship.
Whatever challenges you are facing, relationship therapy provides a space for reflection, clarity, and growth, both individually and together. With support, it is possible to reconnect, communicate more effectively, and build a relationship that feels meaningful, resilient, and sustainable for everyone involved.
Relationships need space and time
Depending on your lifestyle and circumstances daily life such as work, parenting, caregiving, or other daily demands you may have little time to nurture the relationships that matter most. Over time, unresolved issues can build up, leading to distance, conflict, or even crisis. Without a dedicated space to reflect and communicate openly, misunderstandings and emotional distance can grow, sometimes reaching a breaking point.

Relationship & Couples Therapy offers the time and space to slow down, focus, and communicate honestly. In a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment, you can explore challenges together, listen deeply, and reconnect without the distractions of everyday life.

What to expect from Relationship & Couples Therapy
In your first relationship therapy session, we’ll take time to understand you, your relationship, and the specific challenges you’re facing, as well as what is already working well. This initial couples therapy assessment helps me get to know you both and understand your relational dynamic.
Together, we’ll explore what feels most important for you to focus on in relationship counselling. This may include identifying the source of ongoing difficulties, understanding how these challenges affect your relationship, or clarifying the changes you would like to see.
We’ll discuss how we will work together in Relationship & Couples therapy, your expectations, and any preferences you have for the therapy process. By the end of the session, we’ll agree on the next steps for your relationship therapy journey and the most suitable way forward for your relationship.
I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework and professional standards of best practice.
